One of the biggest concerns about copper cookware is the level of maintenance and cleaning required to keep the cookware looking clean. However, the low maintenance, brushed copper finish on Falk pots and pans eliminates a lot of these hassles.
Our cookware tends to age better than other brands because it is resistant to much of the superficial scratching that occurs with day to day use.
In addition, Falk cookware has a satin stainless steel cooking surface that resists many of the everyday scratches that are common on high-shine finishes. Does this mean that our cookware never needs cleaning or is impervious to scratches? Absolutely not. However, we believe you can go much longer between serious cleanings and when you do clean your cookware, Falk pots and pans will return much closer to their original condition.
For everyday cleaning, we recommend using a plastic scouring pad and normal dishwashing liquid. Never put your copper cookware in the dishwasher. Ever! For stains and stuck-on food we highly recommend Bon Ami Powder Cleanser for the stainless steel. Simply wash the cooking surface with a plastic scouring pad and the Bon Ami and your stainless steel will come out looking like new.
When it comes to the copper itself, we prefer letting our cookware earn a fine patina like this guy. However, if you’re the type who needs to keep your copper shiny and new, we recommend an occasional polishing with Flitz Polish.
