This is a remarkably well crafted massive copper pan lined with virtually indestructible stainless steel. Heat distribution is superb- no sticking or burning at any reasonable heat setting. The handle stays cool even at high heat levels so a hot pad is not required to lift the pan from the stove. Craftsmanship is superb- a work of art. The curved lip enables pouring without the contents running down the side of the pan. The lid seats perfectly and forms a vapor seal to retain steam. All in all, an ideal piece. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and Falk America delivered the piece on time as advertised.
